Pay per click is just one way to make money with Twitter.

For example, the video below shows exactly how I just earned $100 for sending just ONE sponsored tweet.

There are actually LOTS of companies that will pay you for sending just one tweet.

Now, pay per click is exactly what it sounds like: companies will pay you a set amount per click (around $.80) with the chance to earn up to a certain amount by achieving a set number of clicks.

If your click target is set for 100 clicks, you will get $80 when you achieve that (at $.80 per click).

They will initially offer you a low amount to see how well you can hit your click target.

When I first started my offers were around $100, and now they’re over $500 per campaign.

Exceed your target & they will increase your offer the next time.

So, exactly HOW do I get so many clicks?

Pay Per Click Secret

The secret to getting paid a premium is to QUICKLY find a very highly targeted audience that is already interested in your campaign.

It’s just like any other marketing in TV or magazines… A brand identifies a certain target audience for their product & then figures out where that audience will be, so they can get their product in front of that audience.

As an online marketer, I find tremendous success doing this using Twitter Lists.

Even before writing a blog post, I rack up hundreds of clicks using Twitter lists!

NOTE: The method below is not exclusive to pay per click campaigns. Use these tips to find an audience for anything you want to promote online!

Here are the exact steps to take to use Twitter Lists to find your target audience & get clicks.

I am currently working on a pay per clicks campaign. I wanted to show you how easy it is to use Twitter Lists to earn more money online.

So far I’ve earned more than $10,000 with pay per clicks campaign & thought I would share with you where I get all my pay per clicks from. As you can probably guess, they are all from Twitter.

It does not matter how many followers you have.

Don’t even pay attention to that number.

What you need to know is how to find people that are interested in your pay per click campaign.

Here is how we are going to do it.

Twitter Keyword Search

Go to your Twitter Search Bar & use a keyword related to your target market.

For example, the one that I am working on right now is a pay per click campaign for giveaways. I want to find people that are interested in giveaways. Specifically this giveaway is for moms. So I looking for people who are moms and are interested in giveaways.

This is the beauty of using Twitter Lists – now I can easily find moms who like giveaways. The last thing I want to do is to start spamming my giveaway links to people that are not interested in giveaways or worse to people who are not moms and would not have no use for the giveaway.

The real key to using your Twitter account for pay per click campaigns is finding the right audience.

For this example, I use the Twitter Search Bar & type in #giveaway and #mom.

Twitter automatically shows results for “Top”, but we want to go over to “People” – these are the most popular people who are already talking about that subject. I am looking for moms who are talking about giveaways that I think are a good fit.

It is a case of scrolling through and trying to find the ideal person.

Let us start with @giveawaysformom.

But there are SO MANY ways to make money with Twitter.

Find the Right Twitter List

We want to see her Twitter Lists. I do not necessarily want to see the lists that @giveawaysformom has created. I want to the lists she’s a “Member Of” – there are many lists here where other people have put @giveawaysformom on their lists.

So there is one called “Giveaway Peeps” with 1100+ members & when we click on Members, we can see exactly who is on this list.

The key is to make sure that you have a good list.

Having a quick look down this list, I see lot of people on the list but it does not look like they are interested in giveaways. And they are not all moms.

This doesn’t look like a good list because these people would not be interested in the giveaway I’m promoting, so I would not want to send it to them.

I’ll go back a step to look for another good list.

I usually look for lists with 100-400 people. You do not want it to be too small because it will take you longer to set up. You do not want it to be too big, because the bigger the list, more watered down the list becomes. We’re looking for a targeted list.

There’s another Twitter list called “Giveaway Bloggers” with 99 Members on the list. A quick scroll down the list shows this looks like a better list. These people specifically look like they blog about giveaways. Even if there are not all interested in the giveaway personally, they have built audiences that want to hear about giveaway.

If I share my giveaways with these 99 people and they share it to their network of follower who are already looking for giveaways. That looks like a good place to start. I like this list.

Save The Twitter Handles

So, now that we have identified the list, we can to save all their Twitter handles.

The first thing that we have to do is scroll down to the bottom of the page and go to the very end of the list. We have to do this otherwise the list would not load all in one go. Scroll down to get to the bottom.

Then click on ‘edit’ and ‘select all’ then ‘edit’ and ‘copy’ I am going to go over to Excel. If you do not have Excel, that is okay. You can use Google Sheets for free.

Go to the first cell and click ‘edit’ then ‘paste special’ and ‘text’ so we don’t paste all the pictures and links – just the texts. Then click okay. It dumps all the information down the page and it looks like a mess. It basically throws everything into the very first column.

We are going to highlight the first column and go to ‘data’ and ‘text to column’ ‘delimited width’ then we do it on the ‘space’ every time we see a space it is going to create a new columns and click ‘finish’ it still looks like a big mess but the magic is about to happen. We would go to ‘data’ and ‘sort’ ‘continue with the current section’ we are going to highlight the column ‘A’ so we are going to sort on column A.

There we go. Those are the 99 Twitter handles we are looking for – the 99 giveaway bloggers I want to share my pay per click campaign with.

I will highlight those and go to ‘edit’ ‘copy’ then I will create a new workbook because I do not care about any junk from that page then I will ‘edit’ ‘paste’ here are the Twitter handles that we were looking for.

You can see that in just minutes we found 100 perfect people that we can share our ‘pay per click’ with.

Q: When I copy and paste, I get a lot of their profile pics and I can’t seem to get rid of them.

A: Copy & then instead of Paste, select EDIT > PASTE SPECIAL… then choose Unicode Text (or Text. Just not HTML)

Q: Of course now I have to figure out how to tweet them all…?

A: No sweat! I’ll show you how to quickly create & schedule 350 tweets, but in the meantime, you can write out a few tweets & reuse them again & again & include those Twitter handles….

Q: Do you tweet them your pay per click link, your blog link, or both?

A: Most of the time I will send the pay per click link, because that’s what I’m being paid to promote – not my own blog. For giveaways where they need to leave a comment on my blog to enter, I will tweet the blog post link.

Q: If this is something in your class I completely understand, but I was curious if you could show me one of your tweets you send these people asking for retweets. I just don’t want to come of scummy lol

A: Yes, I show you how to write compelling tweets in the course! You definitely don’t want to sound scummy, no! The whole point of the exercise in the video is to find the RIGHT people – people who are already interested in what you are promoting. Then, it shouldn’t be too be hard to figure out what to tweet because you’re simply sharing helpful/useful/interesting/relevant information with them. We get into lots more detail in the course, but for now, just write something helpful – like you would share with a friend.
